The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC) has appealed to student nurses to ignore rumours about the change of post basic trainees certificate examination from March 25, and concentrate on their studies.

This was in response to rumours on social media that the date for the examination has been changed to March13.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the Head of Public Affairs Department of NMC, Mr Agyemang Boateng said, the examination will start from March 25 to 27 this year.

Mr Boateng, said NMC as a regulatory body had not come out with any message on social media but rather had sent letters to all the accredited Nursing Training Institutions of the official date for the examination.

He urge students to verify information they find on social media from the authorities before sharing.
